The Jewish Education and ARJE Present: A workshop for congregational teams to craft compelling narratives around Israel education

Do you ever wish you could gather your key stakeholders and leading education experts, block out a few hours, and think about what you do, what has changed, and where you want to go?

Does your team want guidance envisioning and building your approach to Israel education?

We know it's complicated, and ARJE and The Jewish Education Project have the frameworks, tools, facilitators, and outcomes to help.

On Thursday morning, December 10, before the URJ Biennial begins, we will gather in-person to offer you dedicated time with lay or clergy partners to build a new strategy. The event is free, and travel subsidies are available.

Working with many organizational partners and expert educators (including ARJE leaders), The Jewish Education Project has created a new framework for Israel education that articulates how Israel education can be honest, authentic, and holistic. Reimagining Israel Education offers ten standards for Israel education in this post-October 7 moment that every community can use to evaluate its current work and refine its future goals.

These frameworks complement the work the Reform Movement did in 2025, articulating Israel education outcomes to help communities prioritize goals and content.

Join us on December 10 in Philadelphia from 8:45 am-1:00 pm together with your team to:

  • Better define your goals for Israel education
  • Reframe your community's approach to Israel education
  • Expand your models of how Israel education can look and feel
  • Surface tensions and areas of divide in your community and your stakeholders
  • Prioritize areas you want to clarify or strengthen in your current work

This morning is being offered at no cost to participants. While it precedes the URJ Biennial and will be located adjacent to the Biennial location, you do not need to be attending the Biennial to register for this session. If you need an extra hotel night in Philadelphia or may need to travel to participate, subsidies are available. (Note: these will be allocated on an as-requested basis, and there is a fixed limit to our funding, so apply early!)
