The number of young people struggling with mental health challenges is staggering. We can’t change the reality of the world kids live in, but we can program with mental health in mind. Jewish communities are an incredible place to help build resilience in young people. We can make our congregations a safe space without expecting our educators to be social workers. During this session, we will talk about trauma informed classrooms and programs, maintaining mental healthiness, systems to support young people and families who are struggling, and the best tools to build resilience and grit in the next generation of Jewish leaders.
